Meet Oral Health Therapist, Maria Arconado

An Education in Oral Health

Mia, as our oral health therapist prefers to be called, is originally from the Philippines and migrated to New Zealand when she was 11 years old. She made the move to Australia in 2012. Mia studied for and received her Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) from the University of Otago.

Adding to Our Team

Mia is in charge of dental hygiene and therapy at Brunswick East Dental Studio, which gives her the variation she enjoys in her tasks. She indulges her love of learning from working with our other oral health professionals. Our lovely patients, many of whom have been seeing us for years, will agree that Mia makes a wonderful addition to our team.

Outside of the Practice

In her spare time, Mia likes to take long walks around her house or on nearby trails and parks. She’s a foodie, so she tries a new restaurant at least once a week and enjoys a good brunch and coffee on Sunday mornings. She also reads fiction and non-fiction books in her spare time.
