TMD and Jaw Pain Relief

Disorders of the jaw, jaw joint or surrounding facial muscles (TMD) can cause clicking, pain, and tightness of the jaw joint. Stress and clenching can make this even worse, especially if the teeth do not bite together correctly. We treat TMD using non-invasive bite splint techniques to relieve clenching and muscle fatigue. Muscle relaxing injections similar to those used to treat wrinkles are also an effective way to relieve muscle tension.
